Candle Saftey is Lit
Light Love Candle Co. is all about adding decorative candles to your space. However, these candles can also be lit up. To ensure your safety when lighting the candles, please adhere to the provided candle safety guide.
- Always keep candles in sight when they are lit. Never leave candles unattended.
- Keep lit candles away from anything that can catch fire, such as clothing, books, papers, or flammable liquids.
- Place lit candles on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Do not place them on or near anything that can catch fire, such as furniture, bedding, carpets, or curtains.
- Keep candles away from direct, drafts, vents, and air currents. These can cause uneven burning, smoking, and rapid burning.
- Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch before lighting to prevent the flame from becoming too large and to reduce smoking and sooting.
- Do not burn candles all the way down. Extinguish them when they reach 2 inches or less in height.
- Use a candle snuffer or a metal spoon to extinguish candles. Blowing out candles can splatter wax and cause a fire.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Avoid placing decorative candles in direct sunlight or other sources of heat, such as heaters or stoves. Heat can melt the wax and cause the candle to become unstable or even ignite. Additionally, direct sunlight can cause discoloration or fading of the candle's color or scent. It's best to keep candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
